Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 22, 2025

Your privacy is of paramount importance to us. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect, how it is used, and the steps we take to safeguard your data when you use the DriveX service ("Service").

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Our Privacy-First Approach

We have designed our core Service with your privacy as a primary concern. Our goal is to provide a useful tool with minimal data collection.

  • We Do Not Store Your Files: Our service functions by fetching content directly from the public Google Drive URL you provide. We do not permanently store or backup your original files on our servers. The content is processed and cached temporarily on our network solely to serve it as a webpage.
  • No Google Login Required for Core Service: To enhance user privacy, our primary website generation feature does not require you to log in with a Google account or any other account. You can create a website without providing any personal identification.

2. Information We Collect

We collect very little information, and we distinguish between our core Service and optional features.

2.1. Information for Core Service

When you use the main website generator, we only process the information you voluntarily provide:

  • The public URL of your Google Drive file.
  • The Web Slug (website name) you choose.
  • The Security PIN you set.

This information is not tied to any personally identifiable information unless you choose to use the optional Editor feature described below.

2.2. Optional "Editor" Feature

We may offer an advanced "Editor" feature to help manage your website. This is the **only** part of our Service that requires a login.

  • Official Google Authentication: To use the Editor, you must log in via official Google Authentication. This ensures a secure connection and verifies your identity.
  • Data Collected via Login: When you authenticate, we may receive basic profile information from Google, such as your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this information solely to identify you within the Editor, save your work, and secure your editing session. We do not use this information for marketing or share it with other third parties.

2.3. Usage Data (Analytics)

To monitor and improve our Service, we use third-party analytics services.

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous information about how our Service is used. This includes data such as your browser type, device type, country, pages visited, and the duration of your visit. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally. We use it to understand user behavior and enhance the platform.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

A cookie is a small file placed on your device. We and our third-party partners use cookies to operate and improve the Service.

  • Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics uses cookies to gather usage data. You can learn more about how Google uses this data and how to opt-out by visiting their site or installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Advertising Cookies (Future Use): We plan to use third-party advertising services like Google AdSense to support our Service.
    • Google AdSense uses cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website and other websites on the Internet.
    • You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ad & Content Network privacy policy.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain our Service.
  • To improve, personalize, and expand our Service based on analytics.
  • To understand and analyze how you use our Service.
  • To develop new products, services, features, and functionality.
  • To display third-party advertisements to help support the platform (future plan).

5. Third-Party Services

Our Service relies on third-party vendors for analytics and advertising. These services have their own privacy policies governing how they use information.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us immediately.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
